Firstly, Notiondipity can find pages similar to the one you are currently viewing. This allows you to explore related content and expand your knowledge on a particular topic. Additionally, the extension offers semantic search functionality, enabling you to find pages similar to your search query.
One of the standout features of Notiondipity is its ability to generate project ideas. By analyzing the currently open page and up to two most similar pages, the extension leverages the power of the `gpt-3.5-turbo` model to provide you with creative project suggestions.
To use Notiondipity, you will need a Notion account and grant the extension read access to your pages. The extension utilizes Open AI's `text-embedding-ada-002` embeddings and cosine similarity to find similar pages. It may take a few minutes for the plugin to create and cache the embeddings of your pages after logging in.
Notiondipity's backend component facilitates communication between the browser extension and the Notion API. It securely stores the embeddings, titles, URLs, encrypted content, and a hash of your unique user ID. The backend is hosted on Fly.io, ensuring that no other third party has access to your data. Your Notion API access token is stored only in the browser storage and is sent to the backend with each request.
While Notiondipity is currently in a public Alpha version, it may still have some issues and bugs. The developers appreciate any feedback they receive to improve the extension's performance and user experience.
